The school has much to offer. We are welcoming and friendly with happy and well-behaved children, a highly committed staff and supportive parents and governors.  Our creative, stimulating and challenging curriculum aims to ensure that all children will achieve their full potential, developing firm foundations for the future through first-hand experiences, high expectations and enjoyment of learning. Our motto of “together we shine as one” is at the core of our school culture and ensures that staff, children, parents, governors and the wider community work together in close partnership.

Currently, we are rated as Outstanding by SIAMS (June 2016) and Good by Ofsted (2013). We are keen to build on our success while recognising that there are improvements we need to make and the new Headteacher will need to improve teaching and learning and raise attainment across the school. 

Our new Headteacher should be a strong, compassionate and supportive leader who is passionate and knowledgeable about the pursuit of teaching and learning in schools and has a love of working with children. The person specification provides a more comprehensive list of the qualities we are looking for, but in essence we wish to appoint somebody with the wisdom, experience and confidence to take the school forward; someone who has high aspirations for all children and staff at the heart of all they do.
